First Steps to Talking – learning language through play.
My name is Anna Lambert-Knott. I am a Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
I qualified from University College London in 1997 and have 12 years’ experience working with children with a range of speech, language and communication needs. I have worked with pre-school children in different community settings as well as in mainstream and special needs primary schools. I am trained in the use of the Augmentative and Alternative Communication approaches of MAKATON sign and Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS), as well as approaches that work directly on spoken language, speech production and fluency.
I am a busy mother of three and, as well as working part time in the local NHS team, I am excited to be starting out in independent practice as part of The Wellbeing Team at the beautiful setting of The Hub.
I am looking to support families with pre-school children where there are concerns that a child’s speech and/or language is not at the developmental level expected for their age. I can provide advice and support on encouraging language development through play and am available at The Hub on Monday mornings for consultations and direct interventions.
Anna is available for pre-booked appointments.
